Individual Coaching

A parenting coach helps eliminate frustration and exhaustion in the parenting journey by coming alongside to strengthen and simplify your parenting efforts.

Success is achieved by:

  • Helping you discover ‘power words’

  • Clarifying goals and streamlining methods

  • Balancing the privilege to responsibility ratio

  • Using consequences to teach life lessons rather than no lesson at all

  • Creating verbal contracts so everybody feels they are in a win/win situation

  • Adding new tools to your parenting toolbox so you have options for every circumstance

The approach looks different for every family, but the objective is always the same: peace, honor, and joy.

A consultation is the first step to take if you are interested in parent coaching. This meeting will allow us to get to know each other and provides a foundation of information so I can walk beside you toward your goals. You’ll have an opportunity to learn about my background, and I will have a chance to hear your concerns. I’ll take notes and share with you how I organize information. We will review some themes to explore as you and I work together creating solutions.

Consultations are free of charge, and there is no commitment unless you determine we’re a good fit. If you decide to go forward together, our first session will be scheduled! Following a consultation, private sessions are $100.00 for 60 minutes and are offered in the office or via Skype, FaceTime or Zoom.

A few Q+A’s…

What are a few words you would use to describe your desired outcome for anybody who seeks coaching from you?

Confidence. Cooperation. Victory. Delight. Satisfaction!

What do you find to be the most common reason parents do not seek parent coaching?

Believing things will somehow get better on their own, or that the situations occurring are normal and must therefore just be accepted.

What is your favorite aspect of parent coaching?

I absolutely love spending time with a parent. It’s an incredible privilege to help someone who is struggling to find joy in the day-to-day of parenting go from frustration and disappointment to laughter, excitement, confidence, and rich relationships. Coming alongside a mom and watching her dreams come true as she implements strategies and gains the skills necessary to deeply connect with each member of her family. Hearing that her children adore and respect her, and each other, is the highlight of my work.
